It’s been a while since I’ve written here, and for cause, it’s not easy to do everything at once!
I want to post on a regular basis, not just for those of you who like to read me, but mostly because I love it! So I decided that I’ll write more posts like this one where I’ll be chatting with you on different topics, I’ll be answering your questions and unburden myself.
Today I’m talking about how I organize my days. I first want to make clear that I am not a full-time blogger. I realized that a lot of people think that this is the case, but I can’t afford to live from blogging yet, especially in Switzerland lol.
I work part time (80%) since over a year and a half for an American company where I am the personal assistant of 5 people. I work Monday-Thursday 11am-6pm and Friday 9am-6pm. Honestly, I’d rather have my mornings free and have a great start into the day, rather than working 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm and only have one day free in the week.
So my days are quite busy.
I go to the gym 1-3x a week for 1h to 1h30, usually on Tuesday and Thursday morning. I don’t train two days in a row at the moment.
I prefer to train in the mornings because I am more fit and motivated. Also because there are fewer people and I have practically the room all for myself !
I used to take dance classes but had to stop this year unfortunately. I would love to go back at it.
Writing: I take time, during my lunch break, my free evenings and the weekend, to write the articles and translate them. Photos: I take pictures on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Edition: I edit them all week long as soon as I have a few minutes; Often in transports.
I regularly have new article ideas crossing my mind so I write it down not to forget. I have a bunch of articles on hold right now.
Contrary to what one might think, I do not spend my time stuck on my phone to browse the networks. During the day I open IG to post Stories and I have a look at my followings stories too. I reconnect between 6-9.30 pm to post and around 9-10pm I take the time to visit the profiles that like/comment under my posts and to answer messages and check emails.
The photos I post are taken spontaneously during travels etc and I happen to do shootings, for fun, on the weekend (it has been a while though). On weekends, I usually take care of my collaborations, #tryonhaul, #unboxing, #ootd, etc.
I edit my photos and I try to prepare my feed in advance when I have a few minutes, in the public transports usually.
I prepare it in advance because I like my feed to be creative and harmonious.
All of this is in addition to my personal appointments. Sometimes my entire week is filled from 8am to 10pm (where I’m out), other times I have 1 or 2 days where I go straight home from the office.
The weekend is for housekeeping, shopping, preparing meals, Netflix, outings or sports.
I hope you now see better how my day to day looks like. It is important to be well organized and what I think is most important is to find time for oneself, to do things that we love because our jobs unfortunately take up a lot of space in our lives. And even if we enjoy what we do, there will always be those days with no motivation, no desire to get up early, to go to the office, even to open IG, to post etc. Take some time to rejuvenate and leave the networks for a weekend if you need to 😉
Now let me know how are your days? Do you play sports? Rather party or cocooning evenings?
Do not hesitate if you have any questions and tell me if there are any topics that you want me to discuss in my next chats with you!
